Israeli Brutal Attack on the Humanitarian Convoy
With great shock, PWWSD received the news about the inhuman aggression that the Israeli forces committed against the participants in the Convoy of Humanitarian Aids to Gaza Strip. The Israeli attack represents clear violation of all human and international laws and conventions as it took place in the international water. PWWSD rejects the Israeli claim that their soldiers were attacked by the participants stressing that the Israeli soldiers started the process of piracy by invading the ships at early hours in the morning.
In this regard, PWWSD calls upon the following:
- The necessity to form an immediate international investigation committee to account Israel for a crime committed against internationals in the international water
- The necessity for the immediate intervention of the UN agencies and the Security Council to impose sanctions on Israel in respond to its crimes
- The necessity of the immediate intervention of the international community to release the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza and to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land
- The importance of imposing economic boycott on Israel in order to obligate it to respect the international law
- The necessity to recruit the efforts of all the Palestinian stakeholders to publicize the Israeli government and present the Israeli leaders before international courts.
PWWSD highly appreciates the efforts of all the advocators of freedom who sacrificed their lives in order to break the inhuman siege imposed on Gaza. PWWSD expresses its deep thanks to all the participants in the convoy (each by his/ her name) for their courage to take the initiative and sail towards Gaza. At the same time, the organization bends down with respect to all the martyrs who fall on the ships and expresses deep concern regarding the safety of the injured and stresses the necessity of releasing all those who were arrested by the conquering Israeli army.
